We are delighted to share that projects featuring Triflex systems won multiple awards at the 2023 Liquid Roofing and Waterproofing Association Awards this week. The projects are judged by an independent panel of specifiers and technical experts whose strict criteria includes project complexity, standard of workmanship as well as problem solving and aesthetics.
Le Clos Mourant won the award for the Project Of The Year in a Buried Application. Here’s what the judges said “This stand out project impressed judges because of its scale and island location, the liquid applied membrane was applied across multiple areas including warm flat roofs, balconies, podiums, stairways, entrance canopies, planters, tank rooms and storage areas. A robust supply chain avoided any shipping delays with waterproofing system delivered on time and the project completed successfully.”
Vince Crawley from Triflex Authorised Contractor Rateavon Jersey along with Ian Marett from Morris Architects collected the award alongside the Triflex team.
IKEA Car park in Reading won Liquid Waterproofing Project Of The Year and Middleborough Car Park in Colchester came runner-up, with a highly commended award in the same category. The 10,000m2 IKEA car park involved extensive investigation and replacement of an existing liquid system. The Middleborough Car Park project saw Triflex systems applied to external and internal car park decks, with the car park able to remain open throughout the works.
The recognition of these projects, alongside shortlisted project Walter Halls Primary School for NRA Roofing and Flooring reflects the high standard of work completed by Triflex Authorised Contractors. “We are delighted that the skills of our authorised contractors have been recognised with these industry awards.
