Overview

As we increasingly feel the effects of climate change, mitigating rising temperatures and solar gain becomes more of a consideration for buildings. This, coupled with concern about urban heat island effects, means that increasingly solar reflective coatings and waterproofing have an important place in helping to keep our buildings cool.

Triflex have developed a range of highly reflective coatings and waterproofing solutions to deliver a cooler roof.

Based on our PMMA know how, our resin is highly UV stable. This means that Triflex ProSolar white pigmentation is colour secure, ensuring minimal discolouration over time.

Bristol Water’s Durdham Down water tower is iconic in the local landscape. Built in the 1950’s the 12 sided reinforced concrete structure was in need of renovation to ensure storage of potable water and continued local supply.

Forster Park Primary School undertook extensive building and refurbishment works to the school’s 500m² lower roof which was originally overlaid in an SBS felt. The school required a solution that posed no risks to those on site, could be quickly installed and would be fully warranted for peace of mind.
Fradley 432
Fradley 432 is a new build industrial and logistics development at Fradley Park, Lichfield. A cold liquid waterproofing and surfacing solution was required for a flat roof above office spaces which would be infrequently trafficked by HVAC maintenance personnel.

In May 2018, Triflex were approached by The University of Birmingham who required a rapid and easy waterproofing solution for one of the Halls within the campus. The university outlined that if a solution was to be provided it must have almost zero disruption to their students’ day.
